Codi Canu - Winners

 

 The North Wales Rugby Choir was formed in September 2007 to take part in the television series ‘Codi Canu’ for S4C. After winning the competition they’re prize was to sing the National  Anthem at the Grand Slam Rugby Match decider between Wales and France in March 2008. The fourth series of ‘Codi Canu’ for S4C has seen the 5 regional, rugby choirs compete against each other once again during the World Cup. The North Wales Rugby Choir were once again crowned the winners after a fierce competition last Sunday against the Scarlets Choir, Ospreys Choir, Blues Choir and Dragons Choir .

 

Their conductors are Iwan Wyn Williams and Geraint Roberts. They have performed publicly on numerous occasions including the annual carol service at Llangollen, a concert to remember Ray Gravell at the National Eisteddfod in Cardiff, the Grand Slam concert with the Stereophonics, Heather Small and Rhydian at the Millennium Stadium and many more. The choir has also had the privilege of being appointed the official choir of the “Welsh Memorial in Flanders Campaign’ which was launched in 2011.
