With Patrick Maguire making the full step up from Academy to Senior side this season, to follow in the footsteps of last year's Academy recruit Sam Wainwright, the experience of Andrew Williams in the pack will again be of huge importance.
The 29 year old has been through a number of preseasons, and this one is another test "The first four weeks of pre-season has been very tough. Gaz Whittaker has come in and has certainly upped the ante both in the gym and with our running."
"Its been great to get some more team patterns integrated in the last week or so and you can certainly feel the intensity rising as guys start completing for places."
Williams became the first player to reach 100 appearance sast season, in which RGC debuted in the Premiership.
"With the changes to the structure this year, it's another unknown as to how things will pan out. What's certain is we'll go into it wanting to win every game. But the hunger to go one step further next season is stronger than ever and we've set the bar very high with what we want to achieve at the end of the year!"
